Characteristics |
Stem and leaves have abundant thin, soft and blondish hairs (like yellow velvet). All the plants found had heavy herbivory and were growing in lowland forest gaps. Venation in leaves and herb texture of plant similar to Piper immutatum (Trel.), but it is hairy with a solid stem and no ants. Unripe fruits in June. |
