Grows quite large, to a tall 15 m tree.

Characteristics

New leaves have a characteristic pink color. As the leaves age the pink turns brown. Strong bony ítems with node scars. Can be fairly woody when old. Usually grows on creeks.

Location

Guacamayos ridge, Las Palmas Island, Cosanga region, Arenillas, Chaco, common at Yanayacu.

Herbivores

Nine different morphospecies of Eois feeding on it.
