Observations and Comments

The specimen shown bears the following label data: ECUADOR: Napo; Yanayacu Biological Station, 5 km W Cosanga, 2163 m, S00°35.9', W77°53.4', 29 Jan 2009, leg. J.S. Miller, D. Wagner & E. Tapia. At the BMNH, the nearest species is Homidiana westwoodi Oberthur; type locality Manizales, western Colombia. The YY specimen differs in being darker, and in having less rosy coloring on the HW ventral surface. Material from the eastern Andes probably represents an undescribed species.
