Rearing results and development times

As of May 2003, N=31 rearings, 9 eclosed, 19 were parasitized, 3 died.
Time is pupa: 15-19 days (N=6).

Host plants

 Leguiminosae: Erythrina bilya, Erythrina sp.

 Braconidae: Microgastrinae (N=13), Nemata (N=1)

Predators

Observations and comments

As in Astraptes fulgerator, braconids emerge in groups of 20-100 (N=10 obs.) and pupate in a group or mass in the host's leaf shelter, using the host as a substrate.
