Observations and Comments

Later instars hide at the base of a leaf or near the base of the tree's trunk when not feeding (all larvae were found on saplings). Early instar larvae (I1-I3) have extremely pointed head capsules. The two larvae that died were in their early instars and were unable to shed their head capsules.
